Design & Simulation of 8-Shape Slotted Microstrip Patch

In this paper, a design to obtain dual band performance in square microstrip patch antenna has been proposed. This high directive probe feed antenna has only 30 mm 30 mm patch. It provides dual-band operation by means of three narrow slots close and parallel to the patch radiating edges. EFFECTS OF SLOTS ON MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA This paper presents effect of slots on microstrip patch antenna and its parameters. The effect is shown on bandwidth, gain, radiation pattern, return loss, axial ratio and size of an antenna. The slots on the patch or on the ground plane will help to design a antenna with improved bandwidth and effeciency.
